Kindness and Care Beyond Borders, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Germantown, Maryland (USA). Since 2011, the President and Executive Director, Mr. Salahuddeen Abdul Kareem, along with his wife, Ms. Irda Nurwahyuni, have visited 25 or more orphanages and child-support centers in nine Indonesian cities: Bali, Banda Aceh, Bandung, Bogor, Jakarta, Manado, Medan, Palembang, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. We've also visited orphanages in suburban Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2019, we visited an orphanage in Chefchaouen, Morocco. We hope to return to Morocco in 2023 - 2024 to further our mission and work.
The Mission of Kindness and Care Beyond Borders, Inc. is to provide humanitarian assistance to the fast-growing, international, orphan community. The orphanages we've visited in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Morocco since 2011 need financial assistance in order to provide essential items and services to the children they care for. They need: food, clothing, shelter, education, medical care, and much more. Many orphanage buildings need repair and major renovation. Since 2011, KCBB has traveled overseas to directly further its work and mission. We have traveled to Southeast Asia to visit as many orphanages as possible. We meet directly with orphanage directors and administrators to find out what the orphans essential needs are. After gaining this information, we tour their facilities (kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, praying areas, exterior grounds, and more) seeking a first-hand look and assessment of each orphanage's status. My wife, Sister Irda, is a huge "fun-time hit" with the children. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish my wife from the children during our visits. This is always the highlight of our visits. As much financial and material assistance as we've been able to provide, we always receive much more from the innocent, loving hearts, and pure spirits of the children - our brothers and sisters in faith and life. We can't let them down! We have to give them a chance to grow and make a positive difference in our unstable world. Remember: The orphan community has to cope with very difficult social conditions and realities they did not create. They are truly victims in every sense of the word. Your humble contribution creates a winning situation for everyone involved. First, you share your wealth with the children, and they in turn, supplicate - pray - on your behalf and your family. And no need to remind you about the power of an orphan's supplication (prayer). Allah (God Almighty) hears, listens, and responds to all they say, along with all they don't express. What can be more valuable than this for any caring-supporter of children i.e. orphans? Please help KCBB make their lives a little better. A little help goes a long way in the life of a needy child. I wish many of you were with us to see and sense what's too difficult to share in simple words/language. An orphan child lives and breathes in a very special world of his or her own. The Creator is never far removed from any orphan. He, The Most High, is their infinite source of comfort when others neglect their care. |

This picture was taken at Darus Saadah Orphanage in Manado, Indonesia. Caring for the orphan community requires much more than what KCBB has been able to provide on its own. The emotional, spiritual, nutritional, medical, and educational needs of the children are very serious and growing. KCBB tries to provide as much assistance as possible, but it hasn't been easy, and surely not enough. Help KCBB make life better for the children/orphans. If we don't help, who will? Come join us.
